"Women Who Dine" Events  also known as "WWD"

We are looking for women who are interested in helping their local community and enjoying themselves in the process.  Come for soup, salad and networking.

Don’t bring any gifts or food.  Do bring cash in the amount that you would spend if you had gone out for dinner that night.  How much would you have spent at a restaurant?
$15?   $25?   35?  45?

Whatever it would be – bring it to us.  We will be collecting for a worthy community cause: half the cash will go directly to the Business and Professional Women/Jupiter Education fund and the other half will go directly to the charity/individual that is voted on by you at dinner.

Be a star in your community.
Your dinner is waiting.

As a group, we at BPW/Jupiter want to contribute and be connected to our community.  We focus on fundraising to provide scholarship money to women in need, but we also want to reach out to the wonderful local charities and individuals who do so much and need so much.  We formed the Community Outreach Committee to head up our research and contacts with those providing services to women and children.

Our "Women Who Dine" events occur throughout the year, about every other month.  They are scheduled from 5:30 - 8:00 pm at a member's home with a planned meal coordinated by the Chair.  Everything is homemade, served on china with linen napkins, to promote our green efforts and  to make the most of a wonderful evening with fabulous women.  There are always three incredible soups, three scrumptious salads before the short meeting and fresh coffee and three desserts after the meeting.  This unique fundraiser is garnering compliments in our group, in the community and from the charities we are supporting.  Come and see for yourself!

 BONUS RECIPES

The homecooked soups, salads and desserts are such a hit we have started making the recipes available.

  • must be a local or state organization and not be part of a national organization

If you know of any worthy organization which fits these qualifiers, please Contact Us and let us know.  We have a passion for helping those in need!

TESTIMONIALS

From the benefactor of our donation to
West Jupiter Community Center:

"I was truly blessed by BPW/Jupiter’s donation which paid for my children’s tuition at the West Jupiter Community Center. I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Knowing that while I’m at work that all three children are safe, doing homework and learning
something new. Thank you all."

From Healing Touch Buddies:

O
n behalf of all our volunteers, staff and the women we serve, please accept my profound thanks for the donation of $280.00 to our Healing Touch Buddies program. The best way I can really impress upon all of you the value of your support, is to share this letter recently received from a patient who enrolled in our program immediately following her diagnosis with breast cancer. We helped her to prepare for surgery, actually were in surgery with her at the request of her two surgeons, and are currently supporting her through her chemotherapy.
Thank you most sincerely,
                                                                              Betty Ann Baker, Director

"Healing Touch-My Experience
To me, being diagnosed with cancer and having a double mastectomy puts you in the need for nurturing; it's like needing your Mommy by your side again. Someone to hug you, touch, console and reassure you that things are going to be O.K., someone who will help walk you through this difficult journey.

"Claire" and Healing Touch did just that for me. She was so reassuring and comforting. She seemed to know and acknowledge everything I was going through. Healing Touch was comforting. It helped me stay focused on healing and alleviate my fears. I truly felt better after every treatment, more relaxed and calmer, too.
I wish everybody with cancer could have this experience. It carried me through each day and I had something wonderful to look forward to in between the chemo treatments. I felt truly blessed to have "Claire" and Healing Touch as part of my journey through cancer.
